Not On The Menu

This morning while sitting on the steps listening to the birds when they are at their loudest I thought to myself: This is my karma. To be sitting here with a rich and wonderful life where I am fed in every way except in some which to me are my most private and primal. Yes, [...]

i want you to know that this is not easy for me. but a person’s word has to mean something. if there is to be peace. the conversation will be written down. and our reconciliation done in private. one to one. i want you to know that it would be easier for me to wipe [...]

Like Laughing At A Funeral

when i was a kid the rocky springy thing was what one played on only as a last resort. for me it was the least kinetic of rides. the schoolyard mush-pot. it hurt my balls. the springs were always too tight to make it thrilling. i wanted to do what i couldn't do then and use my weight to break the springs and make the thing come unhinged. for children, everywhere.

Pull The Umbrella And Pop It

pull the umbrella and pop it to illuminate its nature. hold it up like a torch in the bright for the desert stars that are dry with secret and game. who wakes briefly only to flick the sun on its ear before falling back into its seat in a fit of laughter with thoughts of [...]

the bathroom blew up today. started to see signs of it two or three days ago and hoped it would go away. hope floats. among other things. in my bathtub. the plumber asked if he could be crass when i called. my answer to him was, yes. of course. shit. a ton of shit was coming up from the sewage line into the tub with bits of paper and other abstract goodies that looked like the scalesof some sort of rotting translucent and wispy sea animal.

For my birthday this year I, BP - aka; Bob the Butcher of Bliss ate some dip and had a live broadcast/online reading. The first attempt ended abruptly. The second attempt was more along the lines of what I intended. Even so, a friend of mine sent me a message the day after saying, "This is how I experienced it". I want to share it with you here. The music is from a couple of tracks from the album "The Tired Sounds of the Stars" by Stars of the Lid".
